<p>The first exercise that you are going to do is a squat. There are quite a few different variations on this theme, but to start out with keep it simple with the basic squat. As you get stronger, you can change it up from time to time for interest sake. Place your legs wide apart, with the toes of both feet pointing out. Then in a controlled movement bend down until your butt is in line with your legs. Do not let your knees fall forwards or it places to much strain on them. Return to the position you started in and repeat. It is important to do them in a controlled manner so that you get the maximum toning power. Do at least three sets of 10 each.</p>
<p>Next, get down on all fours with your back in a plane and your head in line with it. Take your left leg and keeping it in a bent 90 degree angle lift it up so that your sole is pointing towards the ceiling. Bring it down in a controlled movement to the starting position. Do a set of 10 and then change to the right foot. Try to do at least three sets on each leg to start with and then increase as you get stronger.</p>
<p>Next roll onto your side and place the legs on top of each other. Support your upper body by propping it up with your elbow. Now, face your feet forwards and bring the left foot up over your head if you can. Take it down slowly in a controlled movement, then change to the right side and repeat the movement.</p>
<p>The final exercise is a lunge to tone up your thighs and butt. Start with your toes together and facing forwards. Take a big step forwards with your left foot, keeping your right foot where it is. Bend down until your left knee is parallel to the ground, then go back to the original position. You should alternate left and right legs and do sets of 10.</p>
<p>There are variations on each of these exercises that you can do once you have mastered the basic movements in order to keep it interesting for you.</p>
