Heart diseases are one of the most common causes of death all over the world. They can result from genetic and inborn abnormalities, or can result from an unhealthy lifestyle. A diet high in unnecessary sugars, for example, maximizes the risk of heart diseases.

Although most of us enjoy sweet desserts, we must be careful of their intake as they increase fats in our bodies and decrease the good cholesterol and proteins in our system. These factors may all lead to cardiovascular diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and consequently stroke.

Medical research has shown that the average daily calories of individuals come from added sugar.

Lovers of desserts and processed beverages may not be aware that through their sweet delights, they are already consuming far too many teaspoons of actual sugar. Studies show that some people can ingest up to 46 teaspoons of sugar per day, while some can limit themselves to only 3 teaspoons.

Doctors constantly advice us of lessening sugar intake for a reason: adherence to just 6 teaspoons/daily for women and 9 teaspoons/daily for men can help keep our bodies fit and healthy. There are many different types of sugars: the naturally occurring ones found in fruits are the better option compared to the additive and processed ones, such as table sugar.

Further research could help us find new solutions on how to substitute or eliminate added sugars in our foods in order to prevent risks of heart diseases. Solutions could include heavily taxing sugary soft drinks and encouraging healthier forms of specific sugars, such as Splenda.

Heavily taxing soft drinks and candies could, for instance, decreased the sales of these items.

In the USA, the country with the highest rate of obese citizens, excess sugar consumption leading to obesity and heart disease should definitely be an issue at the forefront of medical concerns.

There's nothing like a sugary, sweet snack every now and then, but too many indulgences can increase your chances of developing heart disease as you age.

There’s nothing like a sugary, sweet snack every now and then, but too many indulgences can increase your chances of developing heart disease as you age.

Reports indicate that people who eat large amounts of sugar on a regular basis may find they have increased risk factors for heart disease. These factors include increased levels of triglycerides as well as decreased levels of protective lipoproteins and HDL or good cholesterol.

A recent study involving 6,000 adults tracked their diets and grouped them by their cholesterol level and sugar intake. Researchers found that nearly 16% of the participant’s average daily calories were derived from added sugar.

People who were found to have consumed the largest amount of sugar had an intake of 46 teaspoons per day. Those in the study who ate the least amount of sugar had ingested just three teaspoons per day.

To be healthy, doctors say women should eat only six teaspoons of sugar a day and nine teaspoons for men. The sugar mentioned refers to processed and additive sugars, not fruit and natural occurring sugars.

Researchers who conducted these studies hope their findings will influence food manufacturers from adding sugar to their foods to prevent heart disease. The impact of such studies has resulted in some states taxing sugary soft drinks to avoid obesity and related diseases.

Experts estimated that if states imposed just a half-cent tax on soft drinks it could reduce the consumption of such beverages from 50 gallons to just below 40 gallons per year.

Experts know that excess sugar consumption has a direct link to heart disease and other debilitating diseases like obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and stroke. Reducing your intake of sugar can only improve your health and may increase your lifespan.

In the United States, it is estimated that nearly 20 percent of all adults suffer from some degree of high cholesterol. With much public health focus upon the risks of cardiovascular disease, there is drive in our society to find ways in which to promote a healthier outcome without significant prescription medication usage.

To prevent life threatening cardiovascular events, there are a variety of diet, exercise and lifestyle choices that must be made. The ultimate goal, however, should be to reduce blood cholesterol levels. With this information in mind, many adults are focusing upon natural methods in which to promote a healthy lifestyle, consuming more fruits and vegetables.

When choosing fruits and vegetables, it is important to understand that specific types of fruits may have a more advantageous impact on the lowering of blood cholesterol when compared to other types of fruits. In fact, the specific consumption of flavanoids and limonoids, found in citrus juice, may be the key component of food that naturally reduces cholesterol. In fact, the flavanoids found in oranges and grapefruits, known as hesperetin and naringenin, respectively, may be the two most profound natural components in the fight against high cholesterol. To be effective, however, it is necessary to consume three servings of these fruits per day, over a four week period.

If your physician has advised that your LDL cholesterol levels are too high, it is important to find ways in which to reduce those levels. With proper diet and exercise, you can manage your cholesterol levels more appropriately and reduce your risk for a cardiovascular health complication. For immediate results, consuming three servings of oranges or grapefruits may provide a powerful impact. However, for some cardiovascular patients, especially those with ulcer or prior gastrointestinal complications, the consumption of high levels of citrus fruits may lead to other health complications. For this reason, ask your healthcare professional about the use of liminoids and flavanoids in your cholesterol-fighting diet.

With cardiovascular disease a leading health concern in the United States, many adults are turning to natural ways in which to promote health. Since cholesterol levels are significant in the gateway to cardiovascular disease, it is important to manage your cholesterol levels in a smart way by consuming healthier food choices. If your physician clears your use of citrus fruits, try consuming three servings of oranges or grapefruits, over a four week period, to lower your LDL cholesterol levels significantly.

Researchers of a recent study reported in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition determined that high fish omega-3 fatty acids consumption is linked to a 25 per cent reduction in the risk of developing heart failure.

Researchers of a recent study reported in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition determined that high fish omega-3 fatty acids consumption is linked to a 25 per cent reduction in the risk of developing heart failure.

Since the initial report of the heart health benefits of omega-3 fatty acids were reported in 1970, thousands of studies have created a fund of knowledge. This new study adds to earlier data in men from the same researchers and published in the European Heart Journal. That study, one of the largest studies to investigate the association between fatty fish and omega-3 intake, and heart failure, found that omega-3 fatty acids may reduce the risk of heart failure by 33 per cent.

Heart failure, happens when the heart weakens and can’t efficiently pump blood and meet the body’s needs. It is the leading cause of hospitalization among the over sixty-five. It is characterized by such symptoms as fatigue and weakness, difficulty walking, difficulty breathing, rapid or irregular heartbeat, and persistent cough or wheezing.

Dr. Emily Levitan, and her colleagues, conducted the study over a span of 18 years. It included 36,234 women participating in the Swedish Mammography Cohort. The diet of the women, aged between 48 and 83 was obtained using 96-item food-frequency questionnaires.

Eating one portion of fatty fish per week could offer benefits for women by reducing the risk of developing heart failure by up to 30 per cent, compared with women who ate no fatty fish.

During the length of the study, 651 cases of heart failure were documented. Eating one serving of fatty fish per week was associated with a 14 per cent reduction in the risk of heart failure, compared with women who did not eat any fatty fish. Furthermore, eating two servings of fatty fish per week was associated with a 30 per cent reduction.

The association for omega-3 fatty acids was stronger, said the researchers, with the highest intakes of omega-3 associated with a 25 per cent reduction in risk. The researchers noted, “Moderate consumption of fatty fish (1-2 servings per week) and marine omega-3 fatty acids were associated with a lower rate of first heart failure hospitalization or death in this population.

The stressed and unstressed female cynomolgus monkeys were taken for an inquiry. It is proved that if the stress is more, then more fat will be collected on the stomachs. CT scan of the monkeys was also interpreted to know about the visceral fats. Beer paunch appearing externally is the abdominal fat and it covers the organs inside.

The stressed monkeys have more fat content than the unstressed monkeys. This was proved from the CT scans of many monkeys having the unchanged body mass index and weight.

The stressed monkeys endure blocked arteries and metabolic syndrome, which is the mixture of risk factors of heart diseases. This is because those monkeys have multiplied fat. The plaque clogging the arteries occurs in the arteries of the stressed monkeys.

The stress hormone, cortisol was discovered in high levels in the low-status monkeys. The enlargement of the cells and the assemblage of paunch fat are results of advanced levels of cortisol in the body.

The proper working of the cells and tissues are affected due to the magnification of these cells and tissues. Not only the people with surplus fats, but also the monkeys with extra fats endure from metabolic syndrome.

Studies on human prove that heart diseases are more common to males than females. But the chances of having the heart disease become the unchanged for men and women when the females are accumulated with stomach fat due to stress.

Accruement of visceral fats and metabolic syndrome in women lead to the loss of feminine part of them. So this becomes a more acute disease for women than men, since when women have heart disease, they gain more complications and die faster.

Would you mind if I give the list of ailments due to paunch fat?

Angina Aortic Aneurysm Atherosclerosis Atrial Fibrillation Cholesterol Imbalance Depression Symptoms Heart Attack Heart Failure High Blood Pressure Metabolic Syndrome Stroke

But you need not fear. You have much advanced treatments for these diseases. Some of them are

Ablation Angioplasty Bypass Surgery DHA EPA Folic Acid Lutein Magnesium Pacemakers Stents Heart Transplantation

Since these are available, is it essential for us to have them all?

To avoid the risks of heart diseases, it’s advisable for the obese person to have a heart healthy diet. Reduction of fat assemblage, management of symptoms of heart diseases and prevention of complications can be done when we have unique nutrition diet. Adopting a heart-healthy diet can help reduction of total and LDL cholesterol, lower blood pressure, lower blood sugar and reduce body and belly fat.

Consuming more vegetables, fruits, whole grains and legumes may reduce your risks of having heart diseases and reduce your abdomen fat.

You’ve decided it’s time to start taking Omega 3 supplements, but don’t know how to find the best fish oil supplements.

It’s confusing isn’t it? There’s a whole lot of different fish oil supplements on the market and they differ a lot in price don’t they?

But isn’t fish oil just fish oil? Aren’t they all basically the same so you buy the cheapest? No.

There’s 4 things you need to consider. The volume of DHA in the capsules, the freshness of the capsules, the purity of the oil in them and their effectiveness. Lets look at these.

1. The quantity of the DHA.

DHA is the primary fat in your brain, and the most important of the Omega 3 fatty acids to your health. Most fish oil supplements are 18/12, meaning that you get 18% DHA and 12% EPA, the second most important Omega 3 fat. So from a 1000 mg capsule you get 180 mg of DHA and 120 mg of EPA.

But how do you find out how much DHA is in your capsules? Read the label. If it’s not listed on the label don’t buy them because it isn’t there for a reason. There isn’t a lot, if there was they’d tell you.

2. Freshness of the oils.

Fish oil can go rancid, or oxidize. When you take a capsule and it “repeats” on you, or burps up, it’s probably because it’s rancid. Oxidized fish oil is high in free radicals and isn’t good for you, as any free radicals aren’t good for you.

3. Purity of the fish oils used.

Our friends from the sea are contaminated with toxins that we, humans, have put in their ocean. It comes from the land via rivers, (and from oil rigs) and it contaminates the water they swim in. It ends up in their flesh, and the oil that comes from it.

There are a range of international standards for contamination, all voluntary, all varying. And different methods of decontamination, some better than others.

4. Effectiveness of the supplements.

Some fish oil supplements are more effective than other supplements. Inflammation is a big problem for many people, one of the reasons why aspirin is used so much. One of the major benefits of Omega 3 fish oils, well the best ones anyway, is that they work against inflammation way better than aspirin.

That’s 4 things to consider when looking for the best Omega 3 supplements, but now I’ll bet you’re even more confused than ever. Sorry.

The good news is that there is one supplement that is, in my view, without qualification, the worlds best fish oil supplement. They have 28% DHA, they use oil from fish from the southern ocean, the cleanest ocean in the world. They purify it using the best technology in the world, molecular distillation. They get each batch of oil independently tested to certify quality, purity and freshness and publish the certificates on their website.

And tests have shown their Omega 3s to be up to 2 1/2 times more effective against inflammation than other fish oil supplements.

Now I have to tell you that they aren’t the cheapest fish oil capsules, hopefully I’ve explained enough for you to see why the cheapest aren’t always the best.

So there’s the 4 main things that you need to think about if you’re looking to find the best Omega 3 supplements.

But if you’d prefer to find out exactly which fish oil supplements meets each of these 4 requirements visit my website to find out.

As we all know, vitamins are very important when it comes to keeping your heart healthy. You need to eat the right foods of course, although you also need to supplement the food you eat with the necessary vitamins your body needs to stay in shape and keep your heart working healthy for a long time to come. If you don’t consume the right nutrients, you won’t be doing your heart any favors – and may end up having problems later on in life.

The first vitamin that comes to mind for most people is vitamin E, a vitamin that is essential to improving the overall health of your heart. When taken correctly, vitamin E will stop the cholesterol in the body from harming the arteries that surround the heart. Anytime cholesterol oxidizes, it sticks to the sides of the arteries and can lead to blockages which can cause heart attacks or other serious problems with the heart.

To help you keep your heart healthy, most doctors recommend that you take additional supplements that contain vitamin E. They may also suggest that you eat foods that are naturally rich in vitamin E, such as nuts. Nuts have high amounts of vitamin E, and most of them taste great. You can find other foods that contain vitamin E as well, although nuts have the highest amounts.

In the past, research has shown Vitamin E to help those who have already suffered the wrath of a heart attack. This vitamin helps to prevent heart attacks in the future by opening up the arteries and eliminate blockage. Those who have had a heart attack in the past are always encouraged to add more vitamin E to their diet.

What many aren’t aware of, is the fact that you can use vitamin C to boost the effects of vitamin E. Vitamin C is known as an antioxidant, which prevents the damaging effects that cholesterol has on the body. Along with preventing cholesterol from damaging the body, vitamin C also helps vitamin E with it’s functions – such as protecting your arteries and your heart.

By taking both vitamin C and E as a combination, you’ll be well on your way to a healthier heart. Overall, this is the easiest way that you can be sure you aren’t damaging your heart, especially if you have had a heart attack in the past. If you have a history of heart disease or heart problems in your family, these vitamins are essential to your diet. Even if you are just concerned about the health of your heart, these vitamins will give you the peace of mind in knowing that you are eating for a healthy heart.

As far as your dosage goes, it will vary from person to person, although 400 international units of vitamin E and C are the recommended amounts for most people. On it’s own, vitamin C can be tolerated in large doses, without imposing any harmful effects. You can take around 500 mg of it twice a day, and ensure that your heart remains healthy.

To be on the safe side, you should always make sure that you get the proper amount of vitamins in your daily diet. Taking additional vitamins and supplements isn’t a bad idea either, especially if you are trying to boost the health of your heart. Your heart is one of the most important organs in your body, which is why you should always take care of it. If you eat the proper diet and take the necessary vitamins – you’ll be well on your way to keeping your heart healthy.
