<p>Routine is what toddlers thrive on and this includes mealtime routines. If you want to avoid wreaking havoc, then don&#8217;t disrupt this routine. Unfortunately, sometimes this need for routine means that your toddler wants to eat the same food at every meal for six weeks. You shouldn&#8217;t obsess about this and you should just continue introducing new foods. An example would be switching the menu to the same macaroni noodles if the favorite is macaroni and cheese but this time, use a little butter instead of cheese sauce. You can also add some apple slices and grapes and see how it goes. Lie about the name if you need to (this is macaroni and butter cheese, yum!), but offer some alternatives.</p>
<p>Some parents experienced that as long as the rest of the routine is maintained, then the alternatives will be tolerated. This means that getting a toddler to eat a brand new food in a restaurant is a bad idea. Only in the privacy of your home, where he/she can sit in his/her usual seat, at his/her usual time will you offer some new food. The main point here is that you must continue to offer other foods. They may never be willing to try new foods if you are content to let them munch on French fries and mac and cheese forever.</p>
<p>One of the best ways to get your toddler to try new foods is to eat them yourself. Whatever the parents are eating is what some children want to eat as well or it could be foods that haven&#8217;t been offered to them. Grudgingly give your kid a few bites when they ask to try it and make sure that they understand how much you are enjoying your food but are willing to share. After a couple of days of this technique, your child will start to call this food their own and they will be ready to eat the same food.</p>

<p>On top of this considering your golf mental game is important such as when to think, what to think about, managing your emotions before, during and after the swing as well as being aware of your body throughout the swing. From your approach and setup to completion of the shot. Many golfers start behind the eight ball with poor physical conditioning, no set routines for pre-shot, shot and post shot.</p>
<p>Focus on playing to the target as many golfers make a mistake of simply focussing on hitting the ball. Should be easy right? A simple equation of hit the ball harder and it will go further. Only if you play true to your golf swing plane and it is on line with the line the ball needs to move along. Assuming of course you hit it square.</p>
<p>Most golfers make it more difficult than it needs to be.</p>
<p>Here are just a few ways you might be playing against yourself even before you swing your driver off the first-tee.</p>
<p>Your body is unfit, you have tight muscles or restrictions in movement in your joints so it is impossible for you to swing the golf club fully or on a true plane through the ball to your target. You have not worked out your swing sequence so it is second nature. You are constantly trying to find your golf swing. You are having internal dialogue throughout your golf swing and so in your head you forget to simply play to the target. Your golf clubs are poorly fitted to you in length, shaft flex and type or grip. This impacts your golf grip and how you hold your posture over the ball. The golf ball you are using is second hand, out of shape or worse cold which means less distance or worse.</p>
<p>As far as your golf swing goes get back to the basics. Here are a few things you can do.</p>
<p>Build a sequence you can follow like second nature without fail so it is repeatable. Break your whole routine down step by step and master each step one piece at a time.</p>
<p>At the very least stretch and warm up before you play. Stretch and warm your muscles and joints, particularly hips, shoulders, wrists, elbows backs and legs. Practice a few shots with each club in your warm up too.</p>
<p>Start with a solid address of the ball with your feet aligned to the target, your club face square to the ball and line. You really want to have all of your decisions done with by the time you are over the ball and have your emotions in check too. Breathe to let go, relax, get into your body. Know what shot you are playing and be focussed on a clearly defined target.</p>
<p>Sometimes it is worth swinging the golf club from shoulder to shoulder and focus on accuracy and control. Take a shorter backswing and you can build strength and power over time.</p>
<p>Know your trigger for your takeaway into your backswing. You want your hands, arms, shoulders and chest to move as a triangle. A slow backswing will serve you best with your arms fully extended.</p>
<p>You want to build your club-head speed in your downswing. At the same time keep your timing, rhythm smooth throughout your swing. Breathing in on the backswing and out through the downswing and through the ball and follow through will help you enormously here.</p>
<p>The golf swing is a rotation of the body around a straight spine as the axis of turn. Keep that in mind otherwise your swing will be all over the place from vertical and horizontal movement such as swaying or your head moving.</p>
<p>It takes time to learn the golf swing basics, take your time, learn in slow motion one piece at a time so your pre shot routine, your shot routine and golf swing is consistently the same each time. Remember your mind, body, clubs and swing all work together to create a result.</p>
